Round 18

Dee and Helen showed the way this week, both getting 7. Helen is now leading by 3 from Judith with Dee 1 further back. Matt had his first bad week of the year (getting 3 – same as me), which puts him 7 off the lead, but who knows. There’s plenty of tipping still to be done this season and things can change quickly. (See the ‘Ladder’ page on this blog).

What an incredible finish that was on Friday night, with a heart-breaking loss for Brisbane. Meanwhile, Port’s run has come to an end at the hands of Margot’s Blues Carlton and Michael Voss is starting to look happy again after 4 wins in a row for his side and only West Coast to play next week. As for the Crows, our topsy-turvy season continues. We had no one up forward, especially in the second half, but gee, GWS were fantastic in that last quarter. The ball hardly got down to the Crows’ half of the ground. Will Matthew Nicks get the Crows into the finals this year? That is suddenly looking uncertain. What a game it should be this Sunday when the Crows play Melbourne at the MCG. Can they win away from home and keep their finals hopes alive? Jeremy and I will be there.
