Round 9

Firstly, with the draw between North Melbourne and Brisbane, under the rules of this comp, no one gets the tip. So, the best of the week were Dee, Jeremy, Judith and Rob who all got 6 out of 9. Next best with 5 were Annie, Austin, Gaynor, Grace, Helen, Hudson (happy birthday for the other day Huddo!) and Janet. It’s now a three-way tie for the lead between Annie, Judith and Rob, with Ausie one back.

What a mark by Mark Keane! Watching that last quarter felt like watching a South game, when they are in front by a few goals with 5 minutes left but always get mown down. But the Crows held on for a win which I thought they deserved and now sit 6-3 on the ladder, although next week is the dreaded game against Collingwood at the MCG. It seems that every time we play Collingwood at the MCG, we put up an incredible fight then lose by less than a goal with a controversial finish. Here’s hoping next week is different. Meanwhile, Essendon are creeping up the ladder after another win. Gold Coast are looking like they will make the finals for the first time. And GWS have beaten Geelong at Kardinia Park yet again.
