Finals Week 1

We have a winner. In the first week of the finals, Judith tipped all 4 whilst Helen got 3. So, that decides it. Judith (Mum) is our winner in 2023. Bad luck to Helen who was on top of the ladder for most of the year. Even Mum was hoping Helen would win (!), but Mum tipped GWS and Helen tipped St Kilda. I’ll arrange for Mum’s name to be added to the Honour Board and will post a photo of it here on the blog when it’s done.

There ends another year of Pett Family & Friends Tipping. Thanks to everyone for being part of it. As for the newcomers this year, Dee, Sal and Matt, I hope you’re all in again next year. And if anyone has other family or friends who want to join next year, get them in. So long as they have some tenuous connection to the Pett Family, as family member or friend, that’s good enough for me.

I’ll email everyone again a week or so before the start of the 2024 season.

In the meantime, there are six teams left in the 2023 season and three of them are non-Victorian. So, a non-Victorian grand final remains a possibility. Wouldn’t that be great.
